The A’s rock the Dodgers 11-1 in their series opener at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers (27-15) got rock 11-1 against the visiting Oakland A's (22-20) thanks to their rookie shortstop Jacob Wilson career-night, who went 4 for 5 with 2 HR's, four RBI's, two runs, and Miguel Andujar homerun, 2 RBI's and two runs.
The loss also spoiled the Mookie Betts Bobble Head Night at Dodgers Stadium, and wasn't a good night for their starting pitcher, Landon Knack (2-1, RHP), who pitched 4.2 innings while giving up seven hits, five runs, and eight strikeouts.
Jeffrey Springs (5-3, LHP), the starting pitcher for Oakland, did a great job of giving up only one run to the Dodgers after pitching 7.0 innings, allowed six hits, and had four strikeouts.

Oakland took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning, after Knack gave up a two-run home run to Jacob Wilson (SS) of the left field wall and Nick Kurtz scored with two outs.
Chris Taylor started the bottom of the third inning with a double to left field. Shohei Ohtani would hit a line drive deep to right field to advance Taylor to third base, but Springs didn't allow a run.
The Dodgers trail 2-1 when Mookie Betts had the only RBI of the game in the bottom of the third inning after getting on base with an error by the A's Wilson (SS), who dropped the ball, and Taylor scored.

The A’s increased their lead to 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning with another two-run home run by Wilson to center field, and Luis Urias came home to score.
Los Angeles' manager, Dave Roberts, made a pitching change with Luis Garcia (RHP) to replace Knack. The A's would tack on two more runs in the fifth inning with Lawrence Butler (RF) hitting a double into center field, and Brent Rooker (DH) and Shea Langeliers (C) both scored.
Anthony Banda (LHP) replaced Urias at the top of the sixth to hold the A's scoreless.
J.P. Feyereisen replaced Banda at the top of the seventh inning and gave up a double to Miguel Andujar, and Booker came home to make the score 7-1. The A's would score one more run to lead 8-1 to end the inning after JJ Bledway hit a sacrifice fly-ball to Chris Taylor, and Andujar scored.
Kurtz gave Oakland a 9-1 lead in the top of the eighth inning after blasting a solo home run over the left-center field wall.
Oakland would score two more runs in the top of the ninth inning to end the game with an 11-1 victory after a solo home run by Andujar over the center field wall and a solo home run by Bleday over the right-center field wall.
