The Astros sweep the Dodgers after beating them 5-1 at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES, CA - The first place in the NL West Los Angeles Dodgers (56-35), not since 2008, got swept by the the first place AL West Houston Astros (55-35) after losing 5-1 at Dodger Stadium.
Emmet Sheehan (RHP) gave up five hits, and just one run, put the bullpen of the Dodgers, Will Klein two hits and one run, Tan Scott three hits two runs, and Anthony Banda one hit and one run, and no run production led to their defeat.
The Astros' Ryan Gusto (6-3), who won the game, pitched 6.0 innings, gave up four hits, and just one run, keeping the Dodgers' batters in check.
The only highlight for the Dodgers was in the top of the first inning when Hyeseong Kim at second base made some great stops and throws to Freddie Freeman for one out against Christian Walker at first base, and another out against Yainer Diaz that could have led to some runs for Houston.
After Michael Conforto got on base with a walk in the bottom of the second inning, the Dodgers led 1-0 when the Astros' Gusto (RHP) pitched to Dalton Rushing, who hit a line drive double off the right-field wall that allowed Conforto to score.
Houston tied the game 1-1 in the top of the third inning when Zack Short singled on a line drive to center field, followed by Isaac Paredes hitting a double on a sharp line drive to left field, sending Short to third base. Jose Altuve hit a sacrifice fly to right field in foul territory, and Short tagged up and scored.
Eaton got out of a jam with two outs in the top of the fifth inning with men in scoring position at third and first base, and got Altuve to pop out to the Dodgers' third baseman Miguel Rojas.
Will Klein loaded the bases in the top of the sixth inning with two outs, and walked Short and Diaz scored to give the Astros a 2-1 lead.
Houston would score two runs in the top of the eighth inning after Christian Walker smacked the ball for a home run over the right-center field wall, and Diaz's solo home run over the left-center field wall to take a 4-1 lead.
The Astros would score their final run in the top of the ninth inning when Altuve homered over the left-center-field wall to give them a 5-1 victory and swept the three-game series against the Dodgers.
