The Clippers get their first win over the Lakers 116-102 at the Intuit Dome

INGLEWOOD, CA - In the last five years, the Los Angeles Clippers have beaten the Los Lakers 27 times out of 34 games and continued that trend in their new home for the first time in the Intuit Dome, 116-102.
Norman Powell led the Clippers in scoring with 22 points, Ivica Zubac with 21 points and 19 rebounds, James Harden with 21 points and 11 assists, and Kawhi Leonard with 19 points, reached a milestone in his career by scoring 14,000 points.
"I'm happy with the progress," Leonard said. "For me, it's just about how I'm feeling and I'm coming out. The games feel great, but I still got work to do and we're going keep taking each step."
The Clippers forced the Lakers to commit 17 turnovers and dominated the points in the paint 54 to 48, and the fans for their first game at the Intuit Dome against the Lakers, the arena was rocking.

"It felt like home just from the introductions when they were booing the Lakers, and the fans were into it too when our guys were introduced to start the game, our fans were into it," Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. "And when they made their run, Laker fans, there weren't that many in there, but they got kind of loud. But other than that, I thought our fans (gave us) tremendous support."
Kawhi Leonard's three-pointer gave the Clippers an 18-12 lead in the first quarter. The Clippers would lead at the end of the first quarter 32-26 after Kris Dunn threw a pass to Mo Bamba for a layup.
The Lakers trailed 43-39 in the second quarter with a driving layup by Austin Reeves. Derrick Jones Jr. with a driving layup gave the Clippers a 64-49 lead at halftime, capping off a 21-10 run.

LeBron James in the third quarter, pulled up for a jump shot to have the Lakers down 75-56. The Lakers continued to scrap and fight with 2:27 left in the quarter, with a jump shot by Anthony Davis was down 90-68. The Clippers led at the end of the third quarter, 92-77, after a jump shot by LeBron.
The Lakers were still in striking distance in the fourth quarter and trailed 96-85 with a pull-up jump shot by Rui Hachimura. Zubac would give the Clippers a 106-93 lead with a tip-in basket with 3:57 left in the game.
Max Christie would score the last points for the Lakers (22-18, 8-12 Away) with a dunk, fell 116-102 to the Clippers (24-17, 15-6 Home).
James led the Lakers in scoring with 25 points eleven assists, Rui Hachmura with 19 points, Anthony Davis with 16 points ten rebounds, and Austin Reaves with 14 points.
